Hey, thanks for replying. Believe me, I've looked for other Grazeland tree replacers, and offerings are scarce. I am not interested in Vurt's trees; there are some ugly billboards on his Grazeland offerings in particular. The MMC has sort of turned against Vurt's in recent years, for reasons of performance, compatibility, and vanilla-friendliness. Yours is the much more vanilla friendly option! We can continue this discussion in private if you wish; I'm 1Mac at Nexus and Discord.

The simple answer here is I just don’t have the texture, and I would recommend against using my Grazelands trees. I think if you go on Morrowind Modding History, you might be able to track down the texture, but that’s up to you if you want to go that route.
One thing I will say, if you do opt to use my trees, please explain to users how to use the original tree meshes as distant land meshes since mine look really bad as LOD meshes.

Hey, I'm planning on publishing a modlist for Morrowind and would like to include your Grazeland Trees mod.I think it holds up as a vanilla-friendly improvement over the original model, but a stumbling block is that it's missing the recommended leaf texture from Connary's Grazeland mod. It really does look better than the equivalent vanilla texture, but I don't want to tell people to download it for just for the one texture. Could you reupload it on Nexus with the texture in question? Thanks!

That Grazelands Trees mod really isn’t the best option these days though. The camera-facing plane method isn’t a very good one and the models are also pretty scuffed looking in MGE distant land. I’d recommend one of Vurt’s replacers instead. Not sure if there have been any others made since those but it’d be worth taking a look.

Is your old C0da playlist gone for good? I can't seem to find it anywhere. I never got the chance to add its songs to my morrowind music folder

I’m rewriting all of the CODA music so I took down the old stuff.

Something I’ve been working on for the past few months, a 3d recreation of the Morrowind Logo. Renders in Cycles at 7000x2000px, 1k samples.
I first created a font based on the logo in Illustrator, and a recreation of the logo itself. The new logo is also using the 2011 version of the “The Elder Scrolls” logo.

The 3d logo was made by importing the vector data as an SVG into blender and then extruding and bevelling the 3d curves.

There’s no textures for it yet, it’s just using a very simple Principled BSDF shader. I’d like to give it proper PBR textures to make it look slightly weathered, but the topology blender generates based on curves is extremely hard to work with so I’ve been trying to get the assets in a finalised state first.

Morrowind Intro Rescored

So this is what I’ve been working on since quarantine started where I live. I’ve been making a font based on the logo of Morrowind, Tribunal and Bloodmoon. Every character is faithful to how they appear in each logo, and I’ve created new characters based on EB Garamond and it’s variants.

What I’ve been wondering now that I’ve created every letter of the alphabet and numbers 0 through 9, is whether I should continue to create all the punctuation and special characters. I could also create characters such as accents and characters from other languages.

The thing is, these characters are intended to be used in logos, such as the ones Tamriel Rebuilt uses for their major releases, and I don’t know if there’s any interest in having access to these additional characters. What I’ve made currently covers a lot. Let me know what you think.

In case you haven’t seen them, I’ve uploaded a couple images on Morrowind Nexus over the past few years regarding a project I’ve been working on, take a look.

The project is still ongoing, update on that upcoming.

A rough look at what the final rocks are likely to look like. Sorry for the image spam! It’s off to zbrush for retopo and polish and then the last images I’ll post of these will be final renders and eventually ingame screenshots. :)

Catch up post

Oh my, it’s been quite a while since I posted anything on this blog. That doesn’t mean I’ve stopped modding though! I just forgot about this place for a bit.

Here are some things I’ve been up to since my last post:

  • I’ve halted work on my recreation of the “Magic Cards” font from Morrowind. Because a user on the OpenMw CS recreated it as the “Pelagiad” font.
  • I’ve continued work on my GUI overhaul. Now I am focusing on redoing the HUD and menu textures themselves, and hope to create something both modern and visually stimulating but still respectful to the game’s original aesthetic.
  • I’ve continued work on my Music mod. I now call it COdA, or “Comprehensive Overhaul di Adagio” (more on that later). I’m also reorchestrating all the tracks from scratch. Currently I’ve reorchestrated the atmosphere tracks and will be doing the dungeon tracks then the dreary explore tracks next. I made a video about my work reorchestrating the atmospheres which can be watched here.
  • I’ve put my projects such as Stros M’kai and Morrowind a Detailed World on hold. The reason being I am trying to focus on only two projects at once, as if I focus on more I am bad at splitting my time and have a difficult time finishing things.
  • I’ve started the Morrowind Modding Discord. Read about it here or join by going to www.discord.me/mwmods

I’ve also released two new mods:

In short, I haven’t stopped modding. I also have another big project I’m working on which I’m exited to share with you guys at some point. Stay tuned for more! Sorry I’ve been bad at updating this blog.

Reachwoman head+hair I made for my fiancée

Just an update

Wow, it’s been a while since I posted anything on here. Since the last time I posted, I’ve worked on a number of mods, released a Vivec Replacer, made progress on NMMw, my music overhaul, and started in the Game Development program at College, which has been a challenging, fun, and interesting experience for me.

I was on a break from Morrowind and Morrowind modding for a while but I’ve since returned and will probably release and work on mods some more.
